Skopia Medical Centre is run by Skopia Sp. z o.o. The facility has operated in Kraków since 2014 and in Proszowice since 2019. The centre's profile is endoscopic diagnostics, specialist consultations and primary care under the National Health Fund.
Who we are
Consultation, diagnostics and treatment in one place.
Skopia is a diagnostic and procedural centre working with doctors of many specialities. A patient moves from consultation to examinations and further treatment without changing facility.
The centre runs 27 specialist clinics, an endoscopy unit, an ultrasound unit, a sample collection point and a primary care practice operating under a contract with the National Health Fund.
The facility takes part in projects concerning colonoscopy diagnostics, medical simulation and primary care support, including projects co-financed from European funds.
History
In Kraków since 2014, in Proszowice since 2019.
Skopia Medical Centre is run by Skopia Sp. z o.o. The facility began in Kraków and opened a branch in Proszowice five years later.

2014
The beginning
Skopia Medical Centre starts work in Kraków at ul. Josepha Conrada 79. From the outset the facility's profile is endoscopic diagnostics and specialist consultations.

2019
The Proszowice branch
In January the second facility opens — at ul. 3 Maja 51 in Proszowice. It holds consultations in selected specialities and ultrasound examinations.

Scale of admissions
Over a year the facilities see patients during approximately 27 thousand visits. Since the beginning there have been about 200 thousand of them.

Facilities
Diagnostics, procedures and primary care at one address.
The Kraków facility combines an endoscopy unit, procedure rooms, a sample collection point and a primary care practice. Consultation, examination and further steps therefore take place in one location.
Endoscopy unit
Gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, anoscopy and cystoscopy. Selected examinations are performed under general anaesthesia (analgosedation) after medical qualification. During an examination it is possible to collect samples and remove polyps.
Sample collection point
Samples for laboratory tests — blood, urine and stool — are accepted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 7:30 and 12:00. Tests are performed in cooperation with the Diagnostyka laboratory network.
Primary care practice
Primary care under a contract with the National Health Fund, Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 18:00. Services are free of charge for patients who have filed a declaration choosing a doctor, nurse or midwife at the facility.
Development and innovation
Research and training projects
The facility carries out projects concerning colonoscopy simulation, virtual and augmented reality visualisation techniques, training facilities and primary care support. Some of them are co-financed from European funds.
